Our Journey with Flowers
From a weekend hobby to bringing joy to celebrations across Bangladesh - this is how Moriven grew into the mobile floral service families trust for their most important moments.
The Beginning: Weekend Markets & Wedding Dreams
Raissa started selling flower arrangements at weekend markets in Dhaka after her sister's wedding florist disappointed everyone. She spent months learning from local growers and practicing arrangements in her small apartment. What began as weekend pocket money quickly turned into something bigger when neighbors started requesting custom arrangements for their celebrations.
By December 2022, word spread through social circles. Raissa was booking three to four events per weekend, working from her kitchen table and transporting arrangements in her brother's borrowed car. The mobile aspect wasn't planned - it just made sense to deliver fresh arrangements directly to venues rather than risk damage during transport.
Growing Pains & Real Solutions
2024 brought challenges nobody expected. Three major suppliers had crop failures during monsoon season, forcing us to build relationships with growers across different regions. We learned to work with seasonal availability instead of fighting it - turns out clients loved discovering local flowers they'd never considered for their events.
The business officially became Moriven in March 2024. We invested in a proper delivery vehicle and storage equipment that maintains flower freshness during Dhaka's unpredictable traffic. By year's end, we were serving 40-50 events monthly, from intimate family gatherings to larger corporate celebrations.
Where We Are Today
Today, Moriven operates with a small but dedicated team. We've built partnerships with flower growers in three regions, ensuring consistent availability even during challenging seasons. Our mobile service has evolved into a complete event floral solution - we arrive, set up, and handle everything so hosts can focus on their guests.
What hasn't changed is our approach: every arrangement gets personal attention, and we still believe the best flowers are fresh flowers delivered exactly when and where they're needed. We're not the biggest floral service in Dhaka, but our clients tell us we're reliable, creative, and genuinely care about making their celebrations beautiful.
Meet Raissa
Raissa never planned to start a flower business. With a background in logistics coordination, she understood supply chains and customer service, but flowers were just something she enjoyed arranging for family events.
What changed everything was seeing how much joy thoughtful floral arrangements brought to celebrations. Not the expensive, over-the-top displays, but arrangements that felt right for each occasion and reflected the personality of the hosts.
"Every event tells a story. Our job is to make sure the flowers add to that story rather than overshadowing it. Sometimes that means simple elegance, sometimes it means bold colors - but it always means listening to what our clients actually want for their celebration."
